Chakima Rankins is a parent of a child with cerebral palsy (CP), who's mission is to encourage, support, and strengthen families who are affected by CP. 

​

She is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with an associates degree in liberal arts and human services management. After overcoming her own challenges, Chakima's belief was that all families who have children with CP should have access to a support system they can rely on as they travel this challenging road.

​

With other parents and families in mind, Chakima founded Your Destiny Foundation in March 2016 in Newark NJ to meet the needs of her community and on behalf of her daughter Destiny Rankins.

Steven Wiggs

Vice President

Steven Wiggs consists of over 15 years in the Private & Public Law Enforcement sectors of which various levels of diplomacy have been acquired, he's mentored at risk youth in Jersey City NJ through his long time career as a Barber for ten plus years, and have history in launching an unofficial mentorship program in Allen High School of Allentown Pennsylvania, and has held that program for two years. The success of such a mentorship program has played a significant role in the graduation of multiple students.

 

Wiggs believes the youth in general could not only benefit from an organization championing the awareness of families affected by Cerebral Palsy and other special needs, but they could also help bridge the gap in the providing of resources to help families, if they're given the proper knowledge to do so.​​

Rashidah Cartwright

Program Coordinator

Rashidah Cartwright, born and raised in New Jersey, a proud mother of four beautiful children, two of whom are living with autism. Rashidah is the acclaimed host of the Webby nominated podcast “Autism for Badass Moms”. The podcast offers a platform for autism moms to share their experiences, insights, and advice, making it a beacon of support for other parents navigating similar challenges.

 

With over 18 years of service in the mental health and substance use profession, Rashidah’s breadth of experience spans across various settings. She has worked with children, youth, and adults in hospitals, day programs, outpatient services in non-profit sectors, and community-based programs. Her dedication and expertise have led her to become a NJ Licensed Clinical and Alcohol and Drug Counselor since 2012, and NJ Certified Clinical Supervisor.

Rashidah holds a Master of Education degree from Rutgers University, specializing in Counseling Psychology, further strengthening her understanding of mental health and its impact on educational outcomes.​

​In addition to her podcast, Rashidah is an acclaimed public speaker, making numerous appearances on other podcasts, teaching others how to harness their power within to improve overall well-being.

​

Rashidah’s life and work are clear testaments of her commitment to improving mental health outcomes and her dedication to supporting those in the autism community. Her resilience, coupled with her professional expertise, marks her as an inspiring figure in the realm of mental health and personal development.

RAYMOND G. MOORE

Treasurer

Raymond G is from Bronx, New York, and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, showcasing his passion for empowering others through financial education, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.


Raymond is a graduate of Teaneck High School and Virginia State University, where he majored in Business Management with a focus on Wealth Development and Entrepreneurship. His time at Teaneck High School laid the foundation for his academic and personal growth, while his involvement in the Virginia State University Marching Band honed his leadership and collaboration skills. Performing at the Honda Battle of the Bands in Atlanta, in front of 30,000 people, showcased his ability to excel in high-pressure environments.


Recognized for his exceptional public speaking and teaching abilities, Raymond was entrusted by the Dean of the business school to lead the financial education unit of the VSU "Youth" Business department. Here, he not only imparted knowledge on budgeting, saving, and investing but also instilled in his classmates the confidence to become competent financial speakers, capable of presenting themselves effectively in various settings.


After graduating, Raymond returned to Teaneck, New Jersey, where he continued to make a profound impact. He conducted workshops on finances, properly structured insurance, Tax-Free income Assets, and legacy estate wealth planning at various venues, including Essex Community College, Benjamin Franklin Middle School, Thomas Jefferson Middle School for Men's & Women's Day, the Young Men's Leadership Summit at Teaneck High School, and at Sinai Special Ed school at Maayanot Girls High School for Women's History month.

Raymond also spoke at the 100 Black Women members organization, and Senior Centers furthering his reach and impact within the community.
At the Schools & organizations, Raymond also highlights the achievements of historical and current figures within the African American diaspora who have made significant innovations, inspiring others to strive for a better world.


Raymond's dedication to helping families and institutions achieve financial security is evident of his vocation where he hosts workshops like "Vest-For-You" for young people, "Vest-Your-Legacy" for mature adults on various platforms. Through these workshops, he provides valuable financial guidance and education, empowering individuals from various walks of life to show how to a secure and tax-free future.


Moreover, Raymond's other committed endeavors include sharing insights on alternative energy resource business initiatives such as Electric & Community Solar Partnerships.

Syreeta Blanding

Syretta Blanding is an advocate for her son Khalil who is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.  She worked at Oakwood Ave School in Orange as a lunch aide and worked with children as a bus aide for Bel-Air transportation. Her purpose in life is to continue to help children and families that are affected by Cerebral Palsy.

Rochelle Rankins

Rochelle was born in Evergreen Alabama and raised in Jersey City NJ.  Worked for the Welfare Department years ago helping many families in need. Proud grandmother of Your Destiny Foundation, who loves her grandchildren and other families that are affected by CP.
